Sacrilege? Are the Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Client-Centered therapy something ‘sacred’? Or might the Necessary and Sufficient conditions be dogma? Although they have been thoroughly researched and tested, might the Necessary and Sufficient Conditions remain hypotheses for you and I until we have experienced our own truths directly? Further – might my hypothesis be your dogma, or, indeed, vice-versa? Another possibility: Might ‘solid dogma’ from significant others serve to challenge values interjected from yet other significant others?
